I think that never giving up on your childhood dreams would be an ideal lesson to apply to your college career. Also, being prepared and working well with others would make your life go more smoothly at the college level and beyond. You should also have fun, especially when learning difficult things. Try to gain experience even if you do not get the outcome that you desire. He also says that criticism can be a good thing, as it means that people have not given up on you. There are many more lessons that you can use in your college career and beyond; this is a very inspiring book that I believe you can apply to the rest of your academic career.
